About ProVenience

Seven aisles, one Midlands warehouse, and a preference for the size that lasts a month rather than a weekend.

What we sell

ProVenience is a British household and trade supplier. Pet, cleaning, decorating, garden, mobility, hardware and janitorial — seven aisles that between them cover most of what a home, a landlord or a small site gets through in a year.

The through-line is size. A 30 litre sack of wood pellet cat litter rather than a 5 litre box. A 5 litre drum of degreaser rather than a trigger spray. A 24-pack of wipes rather than four. The bigger unit is almost always cheaper per use, it is fewer deliveries, and most of what people restock keeps perfectly well in a cupboard.

How we got here

We started in 2019 with one pallet of pine cat litter and a unit on an industrial estate outside Wolverhampton, selling to a handful of catteries who were tired of paying pet-shop prices for what is, in the end, compressed sawmill offcuts. The catteries told their vets, the vets told their clients, and inside two years the pet aisle had paid for the cleaning aisle.

Every aisle since has arrived the same way. A customer asks whether we can get something in a bigger size, enough of them ask the same question, and we put it on the shelf.

Three things we will not do

  • Sell a “value” size that costs more per litre than the one next to it. If the maths does not work in the customer's favour, the line does not go on. Ask us for the price per litre or per kilo on anything and we will work it out with you rather than leave you doing arithmetic in the aisle.
  • Hide what is in it. Every hazardous line has a safety data sheet and we will send it the same working day you ask — no form, no account, no waiting on a supplier. See the safety data sheets page.
  • Manufacture urgency. No countdown timers, and no “only 2 left” when there are ninety on the shelf. If something is genuinely short we say so and give you the date the next pallet lands.

Sustainability, without the halo

Some of what we sell is genuinely better for the environment than the thing it replaces. The pine pellet litter is a sawmill by-product and composts down after use. The plant-based wipes break down in a home compost bin. Refill concentrates cut the plastic on a cleaning cupboard by most of its weight.

Plenty of it is not. Bleach is bleach, and a two-pack drain unblocker is a strong alkali whichever way you label it. So we mark the ranges that are actually biodegradable and leave the rest alone, rather than putting a leaf on the whole catalogue and hoping nobody checks.

Deliveries and the warehouse

We pick and pack everything ourselves from the Wolverhampton warehouse. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day go out the same day, standard delivery is £3.95 and free over £40, and you can collect from the trade counter if you would rather not wait. The full detail is on the shipping and delivery page.

Talking to us

The trade counter and the customer team are the same small group of people, which is the main advantage of being this size: the person who answers the phone can usually walk to the shelf and look. If you need a safety data sheet, a bulk quote, or an honest answer about whether a product will shift what you need it to shift, get in touch.
